What is FASTag?
It is an electronic mode of paying toll fees while in motion. FASTag works on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology. A reader, which is installed in FASTag-enabled toll plazas, reads a vehicles’ tag and concurrently processes toll fee payment through it. These tags are linked with an individual’s prepaid account such as mobile wallets or with savings or current accounts. The toll fee is directly deducted from the linked account.
